Next-Generation Computing, Oracle Cloud, Makes Businesses More Intelligent and Fast

The Redwood City-based business software developer, Oracle, is offering to boost its workloads running on VMware. It will also enable customers to operate VMware workloads in its cloud while still having full administrative access.

Cloud computing with its benefits like flexible pay-as-you-go (PAYG cloud computing) IT deployment for companies, has become one of the most sought-after technologies in the corporate world. The corporate world recognizes the advantages of using cloud computing.

Oracle’s Generation 2 Cloud Infrastructure provides with the basic requirements of corporate companies, like reliable storage, multiple compute options, and fast networking solution along with attributes such as autonomous database, and AI-driven analytics with in-built security, throughout.

Safra Catz, the CEO of Oracle, stated:

“Oracle Cloud has brought a new level of integration and enabled employees to focus on higher-value activities.”

Oracle cited the example of the Federal Bank of India (they were one of the early adopters of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse) and a few others to describe the advantages of Oracle usage.

The Federal Bank of India has over 1,200 branches and 1,600 ATMs across the country, so, it needed a centralized and singular picture of the performance of all its ATMs spread throughout the vast land. The Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (a self-configuring and self-provisioning database engine), enabled the bank to produce a user-friendly administrative solution complete with a roll-up and drill-down capabilities, in less than four weeks.

And that combined with the power of Oracle Analytics Cloud service which empowers the senior leaders with actionable intelligence, enabling more agile decision-making in response to ‘customer behavior data’ collected from all the branches of the bank.

Oracle mentioned two more examples of early adopters of Oracle Autonomous Database – Sharda University and Hindalco.

Sharda University in the field of education has shifted its focus from conventional IT management to enhanced learning experience for students. With Oracle Analytics Cloud, the university has been able to bring out deeper and more significant insights on decision making. While Hindalco adopted Oracle EPM Cloud solution as it paired up with its finance and IT functions efficiently. Oracle Cloud, enabled it to harness the potential of data and automate its regular chores in a cost-effective smart way that helped them deliver more intelligent insights to their senior management.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides a cost-effective option with access to the most superior technologies on a demand basis. From startups to some of the world’s most comprehensive companies across industries, all are utilizing the advantage of a wide variety of services provided by Oracle Cloud.

Oracle’s expansion-oriented design in the enterprise’s cloud applications market segment, enables it to utilize the analytics, database, integration, security, and extensibility of its underlying Oracle Generation 2 Cloud Infrastructure.

Oracle CTO, Larry Ellison asserted at the Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco that they had been working on implementing several independent services to its next-generation cloud, as additions to its moto- to establish the “world’s first complete and truly autonomous cloud.”
